Navigating social care research ethics

Written by The Editorial Team

On 28 January 2014, IRISS in partnership with ADSW and Scottish Government, will host a half-day event on navigating ethical approval and access in social care research. It will be held at the Hanover Conference Centre in Edinburgh.

The aim of the event is to provide an opportunity to discuss the routes for gaining ethical approval for social care research and to provide a platform for the launch of the guidance document developed by a working group led by Scottish Government.

The event is targetted at those responsible for processing and granting applications to do research focusing on social care in local authorities and other large organisations; those undertaking social care research whether as researchers, students or practitioners; those involved with current ethics committees; and others with an interest in ethics more generally.

Full programme details and further information is available on the event website.
