Rape Review Findings Put Forward

Significant changes are being proposed to the way rape cases in Scotland are investigated and prosecuted. The percentage of cases leading to convictions has fallen to one of the lowest rates in the world.
New guidance to ensure any lessons following a domestic violence homicide are learnt, and action to protect others at risk is taken, was published today for consultation by Home Office Minister Baroness Scotland.
A new drive to reduce the suicide rates in young men was launched today by Health Minister Rosie Winterton. Speaking to mark Men's Mental Health week, she published a report outlining the findings of three pilots which have been looking at ways to reduce suicide rates in young men.
