Childcare among apprenticeships on offer at Sandwell event

Young people aged 16 to 24 are invited to come along to the Sandwell Guarantee apprenticeship event to find out what's available to them.

Sandwell Council and Sandwell College will be helping young people on Thursday 16 July between 11am – 3pm at West Bromwich Town Hall.

There will be lots of Information and advice on a wide range of apprenticeships from across the borough. Opportunities from the automotive industry will be available as well as businesses administration, customer service, catering, childcare, construction, and many more.

Councillor Simon Hackett, cabinet member for children's services said: “This is a very important event for young people in Sandwell and it gives them the opportunity to get information to help them decide about their future plans.

“There's some really exciting opportunities for young people with Sandwell companies.

"Young people should definitely take the time to come along and see what apprenticeships are on offer."

Sandwell Guarantee supports Sandwell young people aged 16-24 to find a job or apprenticeship opportunity and can provide a wage subsidy up to 50% for the employer.
