Bursaries still available for September start MSc Social Work

Written by The Editorial Team

Bursaries are still available for Robert Gordon University (RGU) MSc Social Work which is enrolling now for September start.

The two year course will introduce you to the values, skills and competencies required for the practice of social work. It provides graduates with the opportunity to train as social workers to the standard prescribed as qualifying level by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

The higher exit option (MSc) is an academic award based on research rather than a professional award, and offers a methodological underpinning for those seeking to move into research or training in social work.

As a graduate of this course you will be capable of gaining employment in areas where a professional qualification in social work is required, including field work, group care, community care and hospital settings in the public, voluntary and private sectors.

RGU have a 97% postgraduate employment rate and ranked as the top Scottish University for social work education by the Guardian Newspaper University Guide 2016.

Small class sizes, friendly, supportive and experienced staff and practise placements that allow you to gain invaluable work experience are all reasons to begin your chosen career with us.

And the student-friendly city of Aberdeen – easily accessible by road, rail and air - has all you’d expect – great nightlife, shopping and entertainment – with golden sandy beaches and the great outdoors on its doorstep.

There’s still time to apply for September start.
